Easterseals Florida's Day Break at the Miller Center, located in the Greater Orlando Area, provides person-centered, adult day health care services. Members enjoy activities designed with each individual in mind to benefit their core balance, cognitive and motor skills, problem-solving, and socialization. Easterseals Florida aims to bring a sense of independence, stimulation, and contribution to the quality of life of members and their families. Participation in the adult day program allows time for caregivers to work outside the home and provides support for caregivers and other family members. Members engage in fitness, arts and wellness, and social activities daily. Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants ensure that every member of the Easterseals Florida family is cared for through health monitoring, medical care, and administration in a safe, familiar environment.
Program Features
Serving adults, seniors, and veterans who have:
- Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, or other forms of dementia
- Traumatic brain injuries or past strokes
- Autism, Down syndrome, and other developmental delays
- Memory impairment or confusion
- Any other need for personal care
